A metaphor compares two things by saying one thing is
something else.
(Examples)
1. During lunch, Matthew is a pizza-eating machine. Matthew is a machine -
metaphor.
2. In our classroom, Matthew is a giant during math lessons. Matthew’s ability
is giant - metaphor.
3. The white snow is a blanket covering the land. White snow is a blanket -
metaphor.
